On the 8th of August each year, Catholic churches and schools celebrate the feast day of St Mary MacKillop of the Cross.
Mary MacKillop founded the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. In 2010, Mary was canonised and became Australia’s first Saint and subsequently became the patron saint of Australia. Last week, our Year 4A class led our school in the mass for the feast day.
The students did a wonderful job to make the mass special. Thank you to Miss Kelly and Miss Craig who prepared the children for this celebration.
